About the Initiative

LCCI's Direct Investment in Lagos' Future

The LCCI Innovation Initiative is not a partnership program or outsourced activity — it is a program conceived, designed, and run entirely by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. LCCI identified a structural gap in Lagos' entrepreneurship ecosystem and committed its resources, network, and institutional credibility to closing it.

By operating its own incubator, accelerator, and training academy, LCCI does something no independent program can replicate: it connects every founder to over a century of business leadership, a live network of 3,000+ member enterprises, and direct relationships with policymakers and investors shaping Nigeria's economic future.

What exactly is the LCCI Innovation Initiative?

It is a flagship program built, funded, and operated directly by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry — not a third party or external provider. LCCI runs three programs (Ignite-X, Vector-X, and LITA) as a core part of its mandate to develop Lagos' entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Who can apply to the Ignite-X Incubator?

Ignite-X is open to early-stage founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and small businesses with innovative ideas — particularly those developing solutions relevant to Lagos businesses and Nigeria's economy. Applicants should be based in Lagos or building for the Nigerian market.

Who qualifies for the Vector-X Accelerator?

Vector-X is designed for revenue-generating startups that have demonstrated product-market fit and are ready to scale operations, expand into new markets, and raise institutional growth capital. Startups graduating from Ignite-X receive a priority pathway into Vector-X.

What does the LITA Training Academy offer?

LITA offers a range of learning formats — short-term bootcamps, intensive workshops, executive education sessions, and certification courses — covering design thinking, technology, market access, and essential 21st-century business skills. Programs run year-round, in-person and online.

Do I need to be an LCCI member to apply?

No — all three programs are open to eligible entrepreneurs and businesses regardless of LCCI membership status. Successful Ignite-X and Vector-X participants are provided a clear pathway to full LCCI membership as part of their program journey.
